It is pretty amazing how much of a significant difference build the best Twitter followers can have, of course you have to consider certain factors.

Every Internet Marketer understands the importance of social media. You might even already have accounts for various social media sites, like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Digg, StumbleUpon, etc. However, registering accounts on these sites doesn’t automatically mean you know how to put them to good use. Just getting onto Twitter won’t do you much good or create profits unless you create a strong following. Fortunately, it is very possible with the right steps. Put in the time and work, and it’s really reachable. Below are some easy ways you can build up a very strong following on Twitter.

If your username is short, you’ll have better results. It’s good to use your own name here, but if you have several different Twitter accounts (for different things of course) this might not be an option. Your goal should be to find a short and simple name. Any of your tweets that get resent will be clearer if you have a short username. You should know that the longer your username, the less space you’ll have for your tweet, as every character counts. It’s also more likely that people will remember a name that’s short. You don’t have to go to extremes and make it 3 characters, but it should definitely be under a dozen.

A great strategy for getting people to read your tweets is to post on Twitter when the majority of people are looking. If this is during the work week, people usually look at their Twitter account while on a break. This is when people are diving for their social media accounts because they want to catch up on what is happening in the world.

To get at the top of the list so that they see what you are talking about, you need to tweet when they’re looking. To make this easy for your followers, tweet at the times when they are looking. Just figure out when they look at their Twitter account, and you will help them find your information.

Be aware that anything you tweet is immediately made public – with the exception of direct messages. So people are able to look up your profile and see any tweets you’ve posted or @ replied to. This should signify how important it is that your Twitter feed is nothing more than a long list of sales hype. Instead, work on participating on conversations that actively share information rather than focusing on sales. People are more likely to avoid you instead of following you if you show them a feed full of nothing more than sales messages.

There are many ways to grow a Twitter following if you do it the right way. Some of these things are obvious. You could also overlook some obvious ways of getting this done.

You could also figure out what works, and what doesn’t work, through experimentation. Use the tips that we’ve talked about in the previous paragraphs to give yourself a good start. All you need are active followers that will engage in a positive relationship with you. The more you do this, the more you will learn, and the more successful you will be.
