It is pretty amazing how much of a significant difference media buying techniques can have, of course you have to consider certain factors.

You’ve probably already heard about media buying, either in a forum or from an article or somewhere.

The thing about this approach to business is the highly successful people using it will not be found in any forum. They are actually making a profit and have way more things that they need to do. If you are willing to roll up your sleeves, learn and actually get to work, there is no reason you can’t be one of them.

It is not uncommon to be shot down and told that they are completely booked when you finally find a site on which you want to advertise. The very best places are often found here and it is important that you figure out what options are available to you. If you find yourself in this situation, ask the owner if they might have something smaller, like a button ad space, available on their website. Just keep talking with them and make as good an impression as you are able and see if they might not find some way to help you out. Sure you know that the best and most successful spots are taken but sometimes the site owner will still find a way to squeeze you in. They are doing this to make money and you have the money they want. When this is the only option for you, they should charge you less. If the rate is the same but the location is not, say this to them and see what they do.

If you have done PPC advertising, then you already know the rules about bidding for keywords that are trademarked names. The fact is that you won’t be allowed to do this with the major search engines. This is the same technique that can be done for your banner ad creatives, but it isn’t something that you should ever actually try to do. The primary reason for this is that legal action can be taken against you for it and defending yourself can be quite costly.

You will undoubtedly get caught and the consequences associated with that can be really bad. People do bid on these types of keywords, but it’s a game of high risk. You are in charge of the decision, obviously, but the people who are respectful of trademarks and copyrights go the farthest in this game.

Here is a truly great money saving but profit yielding strategy that you can use with the better known sites that have big traffic levels. Offer them a flat rate for one of their smaller ad spaces, like for button ads. Plenty of people assume that they need to do just a straight rate for fees when they are working with CPM or CPC fees.

That is not true at all, and all you have to do is approach the site and talk to them. You are going to be incredibly surprised by what you can do when you simply ask for permission. Approach the website owner and make him or her an offer for what you want. Base the fee you want to pay upon the lowest conversion rate you think is logically expected. In conclusion, even if you are an affiliate marketer, you will still be able to make money with media buying. You have to be able to pick the right products to make this work. Likewise, you can fail with your product, or the one that you promote, if it’s the wrong product. You don’t have to buy ads to know this is true.
