It is pretty amazing how much of a difference developing your marketing mindset can have, of course you have to think about certain factors.

There are more than a few challenges existing in the online business world already, you do not need to create any more. Some, however, are worth the time you spend on them, like learning more about marketing. Nobody, not even the most professional web marketers, knows everything–there is always room to learn even more. If you make the decision to just learn a couple of things each week you can give yourself quite an education over the course of a year. Try to imagine learning 150+ new things about business every year. There is so much that you can do with that and it all means a bigger profit.

You need to work on building your opt-in list so that you can continue to benefit from all of the great things that come from successful list marketing. If you are like the other Internet marketers and the larger businesses out there your opt-in box is probably very obviously located so that every visitor can see (and, if we’re being honest, ignore) it. Here is something that you can test today after you take the time to set it up right. Sell a subscription and sell the giveaway you’re offering to your opt-ins. If you’re not sure what that means, create presell copy for it or even a short sales letter for both of them. Combine them into just one piece of copy so that you can see what happens. Then, skip the boring old opt-in box that everybody wants to see and put up a good little ad that is going to make people want to know more about the things that you’ve got to offer. I understand that you probably haven’t seen this approach quite a lot. How much do you already know about preselling copy…do you know what that term means? If you don’t know then you probably haven’t got a clue and that needs to be fixed because this is a kind of marketing knowledge that you need to have. Pre-selling involves copy that doesn’t feel “salesy” because the tone and way in which it is written is meant to feel neutral. You want to work hard to keep your readers from feeling like they are being actively sold to when they read this copy. This is actually quite challenging–it is not nearly as easy as you might think it is. If you have never written pre-sell copy before you’ll see what we mean on your first trip out. Pre-sell copy can be quite an effective way to open your readers’ minds. It also goes a long way toward eliminating any resistance that readers might feel about the sales copy you publish in the future.

Optimal copy on your blog means that you have continued working to make it better so people really eat it up. If you do SEO, then you really should know this and take steps to improving things if it needs it. Giving your readers the best experience possible is something you can do or you can let your competitors do. Another part of this that has not been discussed is what these efforts will do for your website performance. This is the way you can make huge gains with what your blog is able to do, and Google will not overlook your efforts.

Learning more about marketing is always a good idea, even if you do not have an immediate use for the knowledge. There is going to come a day when you are going to need it and it is all going to come flying into your mind. Still, the more that you know about the field, the better off things are going to be. It’s all about how willing you are to put the things you know to proper use.
